Job Description

Performing a variety of analytical tasks to include both the analysis of samples and laboratory maintenance; preparing solutions for analysis and running some instrumentation with minimum supervision including, but not limited to, UV/Spec, pH, various wet chemistry analyses; responsible for laboratory upkeep, chemical, and supply inventory to include ordering and discarding; working efficiently, documenting work clearly

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate Demonstrates and promotes the company vision Regular attendance and punctuality Performs laboratory operations with good dexterity, good laboratory techniques, andhigh degree of accuracy and precision Prepare reagents, samples, and standards according to procedures Document testing, observations, deviations, and results clearly and completely Understand and perform calculations as required by test methods Understand and utilize computers for information access, calculations, and reportpreparation Read and understand analytical procedures (compendial and client supplied) andinternal SOPs Commitment to occasional overtime as workload requires Maintaining inventory of consumables Perform laboratory maintenance to include cleaning and organizing Maintaining inventory of laboratory chemicals to include monitoring expiry of reagentsand standards Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill or ability required.

Education/Experience (BMQ): High school diploma or equivalent with some chemistry or biology coursework or at least two years of demonstrated equivalent experience elsewhere Additional preferences: Some college preferred (two years of college would be considered two years of demonstrated equivalent experience)

Additional preferences:Ability and/or Skills Good dexterity; positive attitude; solution driven; good work habits (organized, efficient, careful, safety-conscious, accurate); sound scientific logic; attention to detail; good oral and written communication skills; understanding of instrumentation
