Suburban Law Firm is seeking the right person to join our team and provide technical support within our law firm. Our firm focuses on providing superior client service and is looking for someone who enjoys working with technology and takes pride in their work. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, resourceful, detail-oriented and possess the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment. The Technical Support Assistant will work with an outside IT support vendor to provide support for the firm’s users and network, including all hardware and software. Candidates should be comfortable working with others and enjoy problem-solving and assisting and teaching new skills to other team members. We are looking for an individual who is flexible, eager to learn and enjoys taking responsibility for a variety of tasks. Significant experience with Microsoft Office and law firm financial and practice management software a plus. Skill and Knowledge Qualifications:
Familiarity with relevant software computer applications and equipment. Ability to work with all aspects of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, etc. Experience with Worldox and practice management systems a plus.
Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
Strong problem solving and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to multi-task and achieve progress on several tasks or initiatives at once
Excellent customer service skills and proper phone etiquette are required
Desire to continue to build and grow your technical skillset and explain technical solutions to others in layman’s terms
Ability and willingness to learn from your peers and teach what you’ve learned to others in our collaborative environment
Work well with little supervision, ability to prioritize work independently and pay close attention to detail
Tech-savvy and able to think proactively and creatively about the use of technology
Partner with users to adopt technologies and applications and to use them effectively
Assist in the implementation and deployment of new applications, tools, and technologies.
Ability to understand the users’ requirements, clarify requests, and develop solutions
Demonstrated ability to learn and adopt new technology, programs, and procedures.
Experience in resolving issues impeding the adoption of technology.
Ability to document procedures and create manuals or quick guides
