This role is within the Enterprise Advice organization, providing technical leadership to a Team that uses cutting-edge technology to bring AI/ML products to life! You will partner with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, DevOps Engineers, and Architects to optimize the Data Science ecosystem to put Data Scientists in the best possible position to develop and operationalize models that enable differentiating Advice products (as products themselves or by driving Advice Methodology).

In this role, you will:

Bring solutions to life by operationalizing and delivering models for Advice Products
Build more responsive approaches to building AI/ML models, including development, design, implementation and maintenance
Provide experienced IT technical lead services, including the direction, evaluation, and selection of new technologies while working closely with CTO, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Architects, and our AWS Partners to build AI and Data products.
Provide senior level Tier 3 technical support for complex projects and to ensure reliable operation of the production environment. To develop technical standards and documentation.
Stay up to date on development methodology, architecture design, technical standards, and new AI/ML and data-related products and services, and translate it into effective solutions
Be resourceful and enthusiastic about sharing knowledge and collaborating with other teams

Required Skills

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent
5 years of experience with software engineering processes and SDLC
Proven experience developing, enhancing and implementing AI solutions
Experience with Feature Engineering and developing Model explorations
Experience with Spark or Hadoop
Data Mining exposure to organize structured and unstructured data, build data models, and interpret complex data sets
Experience with one of the deep learning frameworks such as Tensorflow or Pytorch
Self-starter who can identify what is needed and take action with minimal guidance
Strong problem solving skills and capability to understand and set direction for complex technology integration
Strong collaboration skills

To really excel in this role, you should be

Passionate about the application of Data Science to tackle problems
Experienced in full stack development
Resourceful, and able to drive towards results in a start-up style environment
Enthusiastic about sharing knowledge and collaborating with other teams
An enthusiastic self-starter and great teammate

It would be great (but not required) if you had experience with:

Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Background in Data Science, Mathematics or Statistics
Knowledge of data engineering and experience with big data
Experience using Amazon SageMaker, EMR, or Kinesis
Developing and managing AWS CodePipeline, Bamboo, or similar CI/CD pipelines
Experience in deploying infrastructure as code (IaC) using popular IaC frameworks such AWS CloudFormation, Troposphere or Terraform.
Experience working with micro-services architecture and event streaming architecture at scale
Monitoring and alerting production workloads in AWS
Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL technology
Proficiency with Scala, Spark, Java and/or SAS
Experience developing, testing and deploying APIs
Experience building applications based on Microservices Architecture
