Job Title: Cloud ArchitectLocation: Malvern, PADuration: Fulltime (Direct Hire)
Qualifications• Embrace the vision to lead the transformation of currently leveraged outsourced application development model to an in-house model to include development of key business and customer facing solutions• Serve as the strategist who researches public and private Cloud technologies and frameworks, and creates reference architecture and implementations for the Cloud Automation engineers to follow• Completely own the technical delivery of the automated provisioning of cloud and cloud native application infrastructure stack using GitOps and Kubernetes Operators.• Serve as the Product Owner of the entire Enterprise Cloud Provisioning Stack• Work closely with multiple DevOps teams to define/author infrastructure and deployment requirements; recommend, challenge and validate Cloud services to meet new application/product needs• Author clear and specific requirements, detailed design, conduct code reviews and approve pull requests for Automation implementations and mentor the team on cloud automation best practices• Translate complex functional specifications to detail technical designs regarding Test Case, Testing Automation, User Interfaces (UI), Custom Software Applications, middleware technologies, API, API orchestration/choreography, deployment artifacts, artifact packaging, and application monitoring automation, logging, and performance metrics• Responsible for compliance to ensure privacy, security of data/information on cloud platform/applications• Servant leader for the team, clearing their obstacles, study how to make every team member successful and stay ahead of the team to avoid unpleasant surprises for the team thus actively ensuring delivery within the schedule and allocated budget• Lead and play a leadership role in sprint planning meetings to ensure that the team understands their objectives and has committed to completing their work on an agreed-upon timeline• Own the development environment, development tooling strategy and toolchains for effective and efficient delivery of software in support of the chosen methodologies• Build a culture of engineering excellence with a focus on performance, scalability, privacy, and security• Define, create and serve as the custodian of the Cloud Automation and DevOps implementation Strategy• Ability to collaborate and hold the various development team members accountable for compliance to the Enterprise Technical Standards and GuidelinesQualifications• Software development experience a must, with demonstrated affinity for continuous learning specifically in the technology domain and how to leverage it for building great reliable products• Bachelor’ Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent related technical field• At least 6-8 years’ experience building, leading, managing and supporting Cloud Platforms supporting omni channel commerce platforms• Hands-on experience with designing, building, and supporting microservices infrastructures in a hybrid cloud environment• Experience building containerized applications using GitOps, K8s, Service Mesh, K8s operators• Service oriented leader who possesses a true 24×7 support and service mentality• Experience leading development team, building roadmaps, and adopting principles and standards in the design, development, and delivery of solutions• Previous hands-on experience deploying and managing infrastructure with Azure, AWS, Kubernetes; experience with configuration management tools (Chef, Puppet)• Full knowledge of agile delivery, DevOps cycle, Release Management planning• Should possess technical experience in cloud infrastructure design and operation to recognize the quality, reliability, and scalability of your team’s work• A strong desire for action and ownership; you take personal pride and joy from the output of your team and are continuously pushing the bar higher• Demonstrate hands-on and fluency in at least one complete stack (Java SpringBoot or JavaScript or Python with REST API, Graph QL, SQL, NoSQL, Graph DB’s, etc.)• Demonstrated experience with either Test Driven development or Behavior Driven development with a clear understanding of the tool stack.
