The MarTech Platforms group is an enterprise team that empowers Vanguard's marketing divisions to reach their audiences in more meaningful and relevant ways, driving incremental business value with personalized, data-driven contextually relevant experiences. The MarTech Relationship Lead is a high-profile role responsible for driving marketing technology transformation in Vanguard's Retail division. This person will lead the relationship with the Retail marketing group, including aligning their business objectives with the rollout of new MarTech capabilities, and updating the Retail marketing team on the progress of MarTech initiatives. The MarTech Relationship Lead connects the dots between Retail marketing, and the enterprise product & engineering teams. This role offers exposure to senior leaders and the opportunity to help shape the direction of marketing at Vanguard. Success in this position requires marketing acumen, technical savvy, and strategic thinking, in addition to exceptionally strong communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develops and manages a strong ongoing partnership between MarTech Platforms and divisional marketing teams through regular communication, consistent follow-up on actions, and regular alignment/realignment of priorities. Drives client satisfaction and loyalty through an ongoing strategic partnership.
  • Leverages strong project management skills to support divisional projects where needed as a representative for the MarTech Platforms team. Requires the ability to manage multiple workstreams, to help drive business outcomes.
  • Cultivates a working knowledge of Vanguard's MarTech stack, including Adobe Experience Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and AWS. Some experience working as a relationship manager, project manager or strategist in a MarTech or digital technology environment is required, but there are many opportunities at Vanguard to gain exposure to new technologies.
  • Delivers a frequent and compelling story to our divisional marketing clients that captures key wins and deliveries throughout the year and focuses on business value derived from new capabilities/enhancements to the roadmap.
  • Creates meaningful feedback loops and actively collects and responds to feedback to continually improve our relationship with our divisional clients.
  • Communicates project status and issues regularly to stakeholders, including leaders, team members, and senior managers.
  • Utilizes a broad range of MarTech knowledge across the stack to assess and identify opportunities and to align those opportunities to key experts within the MarTech product and engineering teams.

Qualifications
  • Seven years or more of related work experience in marketing and/or digital technology.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, including experience communicating with senior levels in an organization.
  • Strong relationship management skills and a proven track record supporting and responding to the needs of internal or external clients.
  • Experience working as an account manager, project manager, or strategist in a digital agency or consulting firm is a strong plus.
  • Broad understanding of technologies that support marketing capabilities and a desire to deepen your technical skills. Ability to translate technical details into business terms is necessary. Experience with the Adobe marketing suite is a plus.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
