We are looking for an energetic professional with experience navigating the landscape of modern data management challenges to join our data management team and help us innovate with data in a responsible way. You will develop the journey vision and roadmap and provide a strong understanding of business drivers and a relentless focus on client needs. You will manage and support the journey team, resolving delivery issues and ensuring outcomes are aligned with the targeted business case. You will translate the vision into an actionable business case and delivery plan. You will lead the execution of the delivery plan, articulating the impact of choices on KPI's.

The position is for a Data Governance Product Owner within the Chief Data Analytics Office

This role will ensure that data is protected and consumed appropriately, with particular focus on addressing data usage and data sourcing capabilities. The Product owner will manage and support the product team, understand the challenges of clients and key stakeholders, and ensure solutions are aligned with Key Objectives and Results (OKRs). The Product Owner will also translate the team's vision into an actionable delivery plan and lead the execution of the delivery plan, articulating the impact of choices.

The Data Governance product team is working to provide best in class enterprise solutions to support the governance of one of our most critical assets: data. This full stack cross functional team partners closely with the Enterprise Data Governance and Risk business to implement technology solutions supporting data usage, data sourcing, and data migration/copy standards and policies. Using a test and learn approach, our goal is to standardize and automate Data Governance processes from data usage through data access across the enterprise. As part of its roadmap, the team will collaborate closely with other product teams in the Data Management Family to integrate its solutions.

Requirements

Core Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with Chief Data Analytics Office, business and IT stakeholders to reduce risk by modernizing the process to align data usage and access for analytics across the Enterprise.
  • Serves as authority supporting discussions with internal stakeholders and external clients.
  • Works in partnership with leadership and architects to drive and facilitate best in class solutions.
  • Ensures solutions are aligned to enterprise vision and goals.
  • Oversees the scrum team on day-to-day operations of priorities and problem resolution. Coordinates project schedules, assignments and work flows.
  • Coaches the scrum team towards best practices and learnings.
  • Employs a variety of qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques to continually improve the process.
  • Participates and influences ongoing business planning and departmental prioritization activities.
  • Performs other duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
  • 5 or more years' work experience, including 2+ years of leading large cross-functional/cross-regional teams on major organizational projects.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Certified Scrum Professional Product Owner (CSP-PO) certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and executing Agile principles with strong digital and technical skills.
  • Experience with integrating data management capabilities in an AWS environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results while working in cross-functional environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, highly detail-oriented, strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment and continue to raise the bar on quality.
  • Demonstrated experience and deep understanding of user experience best practices.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering practical solutions in a complex and fast paced environment.
