Senior Construction Superintendent with an uncompromising commitment to safety and quality to join our Project Delivery and Construction team in the Pennsylvania. This is a permanent role, with the first assignment being a 16-month project based in

Mill Hall, PA.

Local candidates are preferred, but we will consider non-locals willing to commute to the site (per diem will be offered to non-locals).

Based at our client site in

Mill Hall, PA you will lead construction site activities, including oversight of trade partners, and management of daily field operations. We’ll rely on you for oversite of work progress, subcontractor labor, and coordination between trades. Your focus will ensure subcontractor and vendor work is completed safely and in compliance with the contract documents. You’ll also collect and assemble on-site testing and inspection reports along with developing construction completion records for close-out documentation which will be turned over to our client and IPS Commissioning/Validation team. We will rely on you to make periodic site inspections, perform evaluations and report to project team.

As a member of a collaborative team, you’ll work with leadership and our construction services team to conduct pre-bid job site visits and participate in scope review / de-scope meetings. You’ll provide support in the development and maintenance of preconstruction, construction, and closeout execution plans; project scopes of work; budgets; and schedules. You will develop a working knowledge of the project budget for assigned trades and identify exceptions to the project budget throughout execution of the project. As changes are needed, you’ll develop change control documentation. You’ll ensure that all submittals meet project requirements and are distributed, reviewed, and stored. Other responsibilities will include constructability reviews, evaluation of vendor and subcontractor invoices, and evaluating requests for payment against the project schedule.

As the Senior Superintendent, you’ll provide daily reports of site conditions and review job safety analysis documentation. You’ll regularly interact with clients on site, listening to their needs, and positively demonstrating the IPS focus on client experience. You’ll build strong relationships as you work with clients to provide solutions, all while building life impacting facilities.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline or an equivalent technical degree preferred but experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
  • At least 10-15 years’ experience in a construction superintendent role on large projects with various trades.
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical, bio-tech and/or animal health facilities preferred, but heavy industrial superintendent experience will also be considered.
  • Broad understanding of process piping systems required.
  • Understanding of general MEP systems including but not limited to mechanical systems, HVAC, and electrical equipment / distribution is a must.
  • Experience working directly with clients on site.
