EDO is a linchpin of an ecosystem of data-first functions that will work together seamlessly to enable AmeriHealth to achieve the true value of data. The mission of the EDO is "Empowering the business of AmeriHealth by delivering trusted solutions through complete data services, delivered globally to be consumed locally."

Responsibilities: As a Manager, Enterprise Solution Architect - Cloud Data Solution Architect, you will be an established change agent and a collaborative leader who supports the delivery of EDO's mission. You will have broad responsibility for executing on our data lake strategy which includes data architecture for significant and highly impactful initiatives in partnership with IT stakeholders. Documents current state and creates future state alternatives and roadmaps for AmeriHealth Data Lake and aligns data architecture to meet data analytics requirements. Explores and provides expert recommendations on data technologies. Provides leadership and guidance in communicating and implementing Data Lake management practices to protect and improve the value of data. This individual provides overall Azure Data Lake Architecture, Integration and Data management Services within the IT Data Management Group. Responsibilities include executive leadership, strategic roadmaps, technical oversight, and overall architectural guidance as well as providing solid execution to Big Data/Data Lake initiatives.
  • Delivering the vision of AmeriHealth data driven organization.
  • Provides assistance, technical guidance to data lake teams.
  • Compare alternative solutions from both technical and business perspectives which support the define-cost and service requirements.
  • Analyze current business practices, processes and procedures to spot future opportunities.
  • Transforming business needs into technical solutions.
  • Mapping data and analytics.
  • Data profiling, cataloguing and mapping to enable the design and build of technical data flows.
  • Use proven methods to solve business problems using Azure Data and Analytics services in combination with architecting data pipelines, data streams and system integration.
  • Manage a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes for all parties.
  • Analyze complex ideas or proposals and build a range of meaningful recommendations.
  • Collaborate with technical and operational peers across AmeriHealth to ensure that our technical direction and approach aligns vertically throughout the technology stack.
  • Ability to work in an advisory capacity to identify key technical business problems, develop and evaluate alternative solutions and make recommendations
  • Keep up to speed on new and emerging technologies/patterns/methodologies and products
  • Defines, develops, and delivers consistent information and data lake standards, methodologies, guidelines, best practice and approved data serving techniques on data lake platform.
  • Leads the design, development, implementation and maintenance of data systems and solutions and ensure technology solutions are in alignment with data architecture principles and target state.
  • Creates and maintains accurate, complete and consistent data models with lineage and implementation traceability metadata.
  • Develop architecture solutions that meet performance, scalability, reliability, and security needs.
  • Responsible for designing and architecting the data platforms and structures to support the development of advanced analytic solutions
  • Lead large-scale batch and real-time data pipelines with data processing frameworks in Azure cloud platform.
  • Ensure all interfaces, Extract/Transform/Load/Reporting processes align to Enterprise Architecture and Security standards
  • Participate in project planning; identifying milestones, deliverables and resource requirements; tracks activities and task execution.
  • Facilitate sharing of best practices and relevant innovations within Data Platform Teams and its key partners.
  • In conjunction with the IT, provide progress reports to management and oversee periodic updates to the Department Data platform Roadmap.
  • Ability to recognize business needs, limitations with existing products/platforms to meet those needs, and providing creative solutions to advance data lake maturity.

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related studies; or equivalent related project experience.
  • At least ten (10) + years of Data Management, Big Data and data lake experience in a healthcare, life sciences, or other high-volume transaction process environment (shared services organization preferred) .
  • Four (4) years' experience as an Architect with hands on working experience on Databricks, Spark, Kafka, Snowflake. Azure Data lake Gen2, ADF, Azure SQL DB etc.
  • Four (4) + years of experience in building data lake solutions.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Data and Analytics technologies.
  • Ability to conduct data profiling, cataloging, and mapping for technical design and construction of technical data flows.
  • Experience with modern data encryption standards and secure data exchange processes preferred.
  • Technology deployment experience for AI, BI and machine learning projects.
  • Experience working Azure for big data and data lake initiatives.
  • Experience in Data Cleansing/Transformation, Performance Tuning.
  • Demonstrated experience building strong relationships with senior leaders.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively explain complex technical concepts to a widely varied audience including staff, management and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work quickly and with attention to detail, juggle multiple priorities and thrive in a varied, fast-paced environment.
  • Exemplary critical thinking and problem solving to weigh the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions and lead a team to decisions.
