AmeriHealth understands data is the lifeblood of our business and has created an Enterprise Data Office (EDO). EDO is a linchpin of an ecosystem of data-first functions that will work together seamlessly to enable AmeriHealth to achieve the true value of data. The mission of the EDO is "Empowering the business of AmeriHealth by delivering trusted solutions through complete data services, delivered globally to be consumed locally." As a Manager, Enterprise Solution Archtitect - Metadata and Data Catalog, you will be an established change agent and a collaborative leader who supports the delivery of EDO's mission. You will have broad responsibility for executing on our data strategy which includes developing and enacting data policies and standards, establishing common processes and procedures critical to data management, curating and extending the firm's data taxonomy catalog and quality scorecard, and communicating the strategic and operational progress of data management to senior leadership. This individual provides overall corporate Enterprise Data Architecture and Integration Services within the IT Data Management Group. Responsibilities include executive leadership, strategic roadmaps, technical oversight, and overall architectural guidance as well as providing solid execution to program initiatives.

Job Functions:
  • Delivering the vision of data management and governance at AmeriHealth.
  • Manages and analyzes information using a variety of techniques and tools in alignment with Enterprise standards.
  • Drive improved business performance through automation and robotics to build data cataloging and lineage governing solutions.
  • Building and leading Metadata Management and Governance Automation within the organization with focus on development of next-gen capabilities and innovation culture, driving continuous improvement.
  • Delivering Best-in-Class user experience in Metadata Management/Data Catalog area and pro-actively resolving any escalations or issues raised in respect to the operational delivery.
  • Build and lead a world class team, and be proficient at attracting, developing, and organizing talent in support of Amerihealth client focus and culture of excellence.
  • Implementing metadata standards, automating data governance procedures and ensuring data accessibility across multiple platforms.
  • Engage with the Data Governance playbook, catalog the data, prioritize accordingly, execute, track and sustain the work plans.
  • Must stay ahead on industry and regulatory trends and understand the evolving needs of our clients and business partners.
  • Advanced hands-on experience with deploying and configuring the Data Catalog and Governance platform is required.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Azure, AWS cloud platform and other tools including Informatica EDC, AXON, IDQ and BigID are desirable.
  • Ability to recognize business needs, limitations with existing products/platforms to meet those needs, and providing creative solutions to advance data governance/catalog automation maturity.
  • High degree of integrity, confidence, self-awareness & learning agility.
  • Confident and persuasive with strong influencing skills; ability to articulate the benefits of Metadata Management, Data Cataloging to support new ideas and initiatives.
  • Problem-solving and entrepreneurial mindset - driven to create and innovate.
  • Agile solution development management (Scrum).

Qualifications:
  • Six (6)+ years of Data Operations, Data Governance, Data Management in a healthcare, life sciences, or other high-volume transaction process environment (shared services organization preferred).
  • Demonstrable experience supporting development of a vision through execution and day to day leadership of a dynamic, client-focused organization.
  • Experience creating and executing effective change management, leading others through transformational change.
  • Broad and deep understanding of data systems (e.g., industry platforms, data tools, portals, workflow, automation), digital savvy, and experienced in surfacing technological/digital solutions to solve business issues.
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining collaborative working relationships with internal clients to understand their business needs.
  • Knowledge of business risk, solid understanding of robust operating procedures and controls.

Other Skills:
  • Healthcare experience is preferred; HL7 and CMS Interoperability knowledge is plus.

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related studies; or equivalent related project experience.
