Responsibilities:
  • Influences and assists in establishing the tactical direction of database administration.
  • Responsible for the design, development, installation, security of database systems integrating relational databases in multi-server environment. Mentors and counsels other administrators in program objectives and policies.
  • Perform server software installation and upgrades, server performance monitoring and tuning and storage management. Support backup and recovery strategies and database security policies. Support and adhere to standards and guidelines and follow best practices. Participate in all 24 x 7 Support for production incidents and resolutions.
  • Responsible for the configuration, administration and maintenance of database servers. Ensures data integrity and improves automation of systems.
  • Leads lower level administrators on program tactics and objectives.
  • Installation and update of database management system software having been tested and approved.
  • Configures hardware and database systems for optimum performance.
  • Performs data analysis as relates to performance and integrity of SQL database features.
  • Monitors database system for performance and capacity constraints.

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree or related field or equivalent experience.
  • At least ten (10) + years of MSSQL Database Administration experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of MSSQL required.
  • Familiarity with database best practices.
