You should be adaptable, possess a wide range of technical skills, and demonstrate the ability to understand financial services business requirements. You should be able to both deliver their individual code as well as assist a team of developers; and the ability to switch context quickly and efficiently with project managers, database engineers, technical operations and other platform personnel. What you'll do: Create performance test strategy estimates based on scope, requirements, and timelines Preparing and executing the implementation of test strategies as defined by entrance and exit criteria React to changing project plans and produce creative, alternative solutions to keep the project on track Work in a collaborative team-oriented environment using and implementing best practices with respect to load generation, bottleneck analysis, usage of modeling tools and statistical analysis Effectively implement performance testing in an agile development environment Develop and design technical performance scenarios based on our business and functional requirements Producing high-quality performance automated test cases to meet all project deadlines and ensuring the system is scalable Analyze and resolve issues found during the testing or pre-production phases of the software delivery lifecycle; coordinate changes with project team leaders and cross-work team members Interacts with data architects, other tech leads, team members and project manager as required addressing technical and scheduling issues Responsible for insuring team designs and delivers code in alignment with published SEI & industry standards Assist in building testing environments using migration framework and methodology What you bring to the table: Minimum of 5 years' experience with performance testing, tuning, and analysis Must have a strong knowledge of enterprise application architecture and technologies Object orientated programming experience for the automation of load testing (examples: Net, Java, Apache, java script or python) Must be familiar with load test scripts in the following protocols: Rest, SOAP, JSON-RPC, and XML-RPC Must be able to perform in-depth analysis of load tests both in real-time test execution and in post-run review in order to test validity of APIs, triage failures, report on any performance issues and identify and provide recommendations on next steps Excellent verbal and written communication skills Must be familiar with real-time, user-facing testing methodologies and approaches Familiar with multiple load testing tools (JMeter, Loadrunner) Must have minimum of 3 years of strong understanding of monitoring solutions and KPIs for load and performance testing Must have a basic understanding of Linux and Windows Server Must have minimum of 3 years' experience using diagnostic tools like Dynatrace, HTTP Watch, Fiddler, IE and Chrome Developer Tools or equivalents BS Degree in Computer Science or applicable programming area of study or equivalent work experience A minimum of 3 years of experience working with an application development organization; must demonstrate experience testing and delivering systems with exceptionally high degree of quality Working experience with SQL, Python, SmartBear products, JIRA and Confluence Work experience within financial management organization preferred Knowledge of scalability in various cloud offerings a plus Attributes we value: Excellent communication skills Self-motivation with an ability to prioritize multiple tasks Ability to develop a strong internal network across the platform Excellent collaboration, communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills Ability to think creatively and seek optimum solutions Ability to grasp loosely defined concepts and transform them into tangible results and key deliverables Very strong problem-solving skills Diagnostic skills with the ability to analyze technical, business and financial issues and options Ability to infer from previous examples, willingness to understand how an application is put together Action-oriented, with the ability to quickly deal with change
