What you'll be doing:
  • You’re going to partner and provide leadership to multiple agile teams of experienced software engineers, helping enable the teams to move forward with full DevSecOps capabilities in a cloud-first environment
  • You’ll have the tremendous responsibility of developing and driving a strategic technical roadmap, including the elimination of redundancy of applications, reducing technical risks/debit, and building the technical foundation for years to come
  • You will have the opportunity to architect and re-architect applications in an Event-Driven/Service-Oriented/Cloud environment.
  • Be on the leading edge of the development of applications as Lincoln moves forward in its Cloud Transformation with AWS.

Must-haves:
  • Strong background in providing technical leadership to teams of application developers to drive the adoption of strategic technology roadmaps.
  • 12+ years of large-scale software development or application engineering with recent coding experience in two or more modern programming languages and frameworks such as Java, JavaScript, C/C, C#, React, Angular, Node.js, Python
  • 5+ years architecting, designing, and developing applications on the AWS platform
  • Designing and building applications using container and serverless technologies
  • Experience architecting highly available systems that utilize load balancing, horizontal scalability, and high availability
  • Extensive knowledge of application integration, APIs, and Event-Driven architecture patterns
  • Strong experience with Agile software development methodologies and DevOps practices such as Infrastructure as Code, Continuous Integration, and automated deployments
  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Information Technology or Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Proven ability to collaborate with internal teams, business partners, and stakeholders, instilling a collaborative transparent culture that allows the team to be successful and ensures work aligns with strategic and tactical goals.
  • AWS Cloud certifications
  • Experience leading teams with full AWS development lifecycle delivery, including Infrastructure Provisioning, Automation, and Security
