ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Work with business to identify ROI of proposed changes/enhancements to systems• Partner with Architecture and Development teams to identify feasible solutions and Services that meet the business need• Document requirements, use cases, architecture diagrams, and sequence diagrams• Conduct user interviews, JAD sessions, and other forums to define and capture requirements and design of the solution• Collaborate with application development and test teams to ensure that use cases and system requirements are understood and actionable• Utilize requirements management tools to maintain traceability between requirements, design elements, and development work• Present solutions to business requesters, architects, development and testing teams• Proven ability to successfully handle multiple projects at one time and drive successful outcome with little supervision• Responds to demands created by diverse tasks, complicated assignments and/or fluctuating volume of assignments by putting in time and effort necessary to complete the work• Ability to produce the desired result in accordance with specified standards and department metrics• Completes work assignments accurately and without substantive errors• Assures that all aspects of each work assignment are present and properly organized• Assumes responsibility for quality assurance of their own work• Owns the project and problem resolution

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• College/University graduate or equivalent experience• 6-8 years of experience writing IT requirements and designs in a complex work environment within a structured software development methodology.• Proficiency in documenting Use Cases, Requirements, Activity Diagrams and Sequence Diagrams in a technical environment• Experience conducting JAD/RAD/AGILE /Waterfall scrum sessions• Understanding of SOA and experience writing requirements in a SOA environment• Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills• Advanced proficiency with use of Microsoft Office applications including, Word, MS Project, Excel and Visio and other tools that facilitate the requirements gathering and design phases of the SDLC• Ability to work and deliver under the pressure of deadlines and commitments to the customer• Demonstrates professionalism in all areas of work• Proficient at time management and meeting deadlines and flexible with changing priorities

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• BA/BS or Associate degree in Computer Science or related field• Experience in cable and/or telecommunications• Experience writing code as a software developerPosition Comments: This architecture position will review enterprise architecture and develop and administer end to end test strategies, plans, problem management, test coordination, and in some instance direct action. The selectee will coordinate one or more virtual teams of confederated testing resources from each of the application portfolios that are contributing to the the integrated software delivery or being passed through BAU. Several highly critical programs will be under development concurrently requiring organizational and prioritization skills.
