- Applies system architecture, design and specification within engineering projects and initiatives.
- Possesses the ability to rapidly grasp new technologies and abstractions and apply them in a meaningful way.
- Communicates results of applied work processes and practical application of technical standards into actionable insight.
- Recommends new resources to management and utilizes resources to solve complex development problems.
- Sets the tone and pace for work performance within project groups and impressionable Engineering staff.
- Reports on the progress of all technical projects towards the Company's engineering goals and strategies. Communicates feedback and analyses into actionable insight.
- Strives to achieve Company business objectives and engineering objectives in daily activity.

- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

- Familiarity with open source endpoint security technologies such as osquery.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with working on opensource projects and tools.
- Expert troubleshooting skills Unix/Linux environments, Microsoft Windows and Darwin is a plus.
- Experience with Linux command line and server administration.
- Experience with API integrations and interactions to automate job functions.
- Experience with log analytics/aggregation and hands-on on tools such as databricks, elasticsearch.
- Experience with CI/CD - Deployment pipelines, and automated build and configuration tools such as concourse and terraform.
- Linux command line and scripting experience in Python, KQL, SQL (Presto) and Bash.
- Amazon Web Services like RDS, EC2 and Lambda.
- Linux/Unix platform development on an enterprise scale. Server administration and platform maintenance. Ansible & Terraform.
- Familiarity with modern methods of network and endpoint attacks and compromise such as MITRE ATT&CK techniques.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance configuration and reporting.
- Log correlation and/or SIEM platform experience such as Splunk and ELK.
