Piper Companies is looking for a Sr. Infrastructure Engineer for one of the world's leading academic medical centers to add to their IT team located in Philadelphia, PA.
Responsibilities for the Sr. Infrastructure Engineer:- Responsible for service, incident & change request ticket management.
- Provide cost & trend analysis and resolutions to infrastructure issues.
- Develop & present analysis/recommendations to leadership.
- Assist with OS lifecycle & hardware tasks
- Manage, administer backup and recovery infrastructure.
- Work closely with development, security, network, application and support teams with implementation of infrastructure components.
- 8+ yrs. experience in system administration, VMware & storage (VSAN & NSX)
- 6+ yrs. experience in server & cloud infrastructure.
- Understand Hyperconverged Infrastructure
- Server Administration (Linux, advanced OS knowledge)
- Working knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Customer Service, Linux, Security, Windows, Avamar, Data Domain, Netbackup
- Proficient with Azure, including Azure AD, deploying/manage Azure VM templates, virtual networks, storage, Azure Site Recovery, & additional Azure services.
- Bachelor's Degree required
- $50-$60/hr
- Onsite location required
