As a Developer Programmer Senior you are responsible for design, develop, test, and implement thoughtful and cost-effective software solutions and applications in support of AmeriHealth Caritas Medicaid/Medicare organization. Develop superior documentation according to established standards. Provide production support.

Responsibilities:
  • Interfaces with business analysts, project managers, business and other IS stakeholders to clarify requirements.
  • Provides estimates of resource requirements and scope of own work as needed.
  • Participates and documents technical design.
  • Work independently to develop, configure, and test programs to specifications.
  • Responsible for architectural design, user experience design, implementation, user testing and releases.
  • Prepares documentation for deployment instructions and operating procedures, with limited guidance.
  • Maintains awareness of information security requirements and scalability issues during design and development.
  • Provides 2nd level production support. Determines, investigates, and carries out application problem resolutions until the problem is resolved.
  • Effectively identifies and escalates issues as appropriate.

Education/ Experience:
  • Five to seven (5 - 7) years of relevant healthcare IT experience (SDLC - Waterfall / Agile, and Production Support).
  • Five to seven (5 - 7) years of experience in

    SQL DB Modeling and Unix/Linux Shell Scripting, PowerShell Script and GIT.
  • Knowledge of Sybase highly preferred.
  • Must have previous experience in healthcare; understanding of claims, member, and provider preferred.
  • Experience in .Net is desirable, not must.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience and 4+ years of experience required.
