Position Description: The primary function of this position is to provide analytic, operational and clinical decision support to the: Director of Operations, Directors of Nursing, Vice Chief and Quality Officer and Division/Dept. Leadership in the Division of General Internal Medicine and Department of Family Medicine Also, provide support to the population health management initiatives undertaken by these departments. This position will also be responsible for working collaboratively with research faculty to develop and oversee on-going updates of primary care clinical research in General Internal Medicine. Incumbent must have strong project management, organizational skills, and analytical skills, ensure data integrity, and have ability to use data to support appropriate course of action. Perform technical and functional analysis of information, processing and management systems, including accessing and reporting on data through the Penn Data Store and EPIC. Track a wide variety of health system data related to clinical research, quality improvement projects, dashboards, patient-centered medical home accreditation standards, and individual data requests as needed. Maintain internal web-based interfaces and sites. Must possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Active listening and ability to communicate data creatively and effectively to clinicians and administrators required. Strong communication skills, ability to work collaboratively with all team members and supervise practice level analysts are essential.

This position will also provide analytic support to the population health management initiatives of value-based payor programs for DGIM. The position will be responsible for querying and analyzing various datasets to determine trends and areas of improvement within the practices. The position will also work with the practices and corporate to develop tools to assist the practices with quality improvement. Will be responsible for working collaboratively with clinical and administrative leadership to develop updates of primary care quality improvement reporting at the practice, provider and patient levels for DGIM. .

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree required in related field (computer science, health science, statistics/biostatistics or related fields including public health), Master's degree preferred. 2 to 5 years related experience. Work experience with data from the healthcare field is required.

Skill Requirements:- Able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with a wide range of client/customers at all levels of the organization with differing levels of technical knowledge- Excellent customer service skills required- Strong project management and problem solving/conflict resolution skills essential- Work in fast-paced environment and able to handle multiple priorities/tasks- Deadline oriented- Well organized and strong attention to detail- Effectively and appropriately manage confidential information- Work responsibly in a team environment and independently- Maintain complete confidentiality of all Department information- Flexibility and comfort with ambiguity and constant change- Proficiency with standard computer hardware and software- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel required. Knowledge of Access, PowerPoint, - Expertise in use of statistical software (eg SAS, STATA, R) and SQL is a must- Ability to develop comfort with use of all Penn Med/DOM clinical data systems:
