The Data Analyst / Data Scientistwill be responsible for digital and merchandising analysis across multiple businesses to improve our data, discover insights to optimize marketing, finding new growth opportunities, and educating business areas about our customer to continue growth.
To be successful, you should have strong attention to detail, consider yourself a data enthusiast, strong SQL/python knowledge, visualization expertise, and curiosity that goes beyond the standard questions. Take data to insight compiled in beautiful storytelling to inform stakeholders.
Qualifications
Our Next Data Analyst/ Data Scientist Will:
- Constantly monitor store, marketing, and merchandising performance and explain results/opportunities to business partners
- Evaluate, build out, and scale the digital marketing reporting capability for RevZilla, J&P Cycles, Cycle Gear, and REVER businesses.
- Create models and integrate them into repeatable capabilities to drive behavior changes of how we operate
- Act as a data expert for a variety of ad-hoc projects and new initiatives that drive our company forward
- Establish primary and secondary KPIs for new projects
- Identify strategic opportunities for the Marketing department and company as a whole as there is a lot of untapped data
- Work closely with business partners to determine how to design analysis, testing, and measurement approaches that will significantly improve our ability to understand and address emerging business issues or opportunities
- Experience pulling, aggregating and manipulating data
- Python/SQL
- Statistical modeling
- Strong problem solving and analysis experience
- Extreme comfort learning new techniques and technologies
- 2+ years’ experience with analytics tools (eg. python, cloud environments, Tableau, Qlik, database environments, SAS)
- Moderate understanding of digital marketing tactics (Paid Search, Organic Search, Display Advertising, Social Media, Email, Video, etc.)
- Understanding of A/B and Multivariate testing methodologies
Extra Credit:
- Advanced analytics experience including:
- Customer lifetime value
- Churn predictions
- Media mix modeling and forecasting
- Gap/variance analyses on all the major marketing KPIs
- Sentiment and topic classification
- Tech/coding experience including:
- Building/utilizing API connections
