Position Description: The Decision Support Analyst: will be responsible for the operational management of the McKesson Horizon Performance Manager Decision Support System (DSS) and SDS Datamart. Operations include the loading and auditing of Health System data into HPM, report writing using the DSS toolset, security administration, education of DSS users, resolving data, system, or user issues, and the continual growth and enhancement of department capabilities.

Accountabilities,• Supports the strategic visions of UPHS.• Contributes to the development of Service Standards• Ensures internal clients find the Decision Support process supportive and effective.• Ensures internal clients are aware of services offered.• Ensures service standards are met.• Loads and Audits Health System data into the Decision Support data warehouse.• Designs, implements, and audits production and ad-hoc reports using the DSS tool set.• Helps to maintain user profiles and security settings within the DSS applications.• Educates DSS users in the DSS applications and tool set.• Contributes to the analysis, implementation, and auditing in the growth and enhancements of the DSS system.• Maintains open communications and contact base within IS, CSC, and vendor.• Researches system and/or data problems and if applicable, works with vendor through to resolution

Minimum Requirements: Required Education and Experience• Bachelor's Degree required• Current Internal Penn Medicine Information Services division employees may be considered with proof of active and continued enrollment in an approved bachelor degree program. • Master's Degree preferred. • Minimum of 3 years' experience with databases and strong PC skills required.• Healthcare experience required.• The requirements of this position include superior interpersonal and problem solving skills and the ability to work independently. • Experience with Horizon Performance Manager, Oracle, SQL Server, VBA, Datastage, and/or Business Objects a plus.• Occasional night and weekend work from home required, typically during the first week of the month.

Required Skills and Abilities• Demonstrated customer service skills• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff• Ability to implement process improvements• Experience working with Health System hardware, software and equipment products• Experience working with Health System process and/or system design concepts• Experience working with appropriate programming languages, operating systems and software• Knowledge of healthcare operations and the use of information system applications in the practicing healthcareenvironment• Must be able to function as part of a team providing a high level of quality service to clients

Additional Information: As part of our COVID-19 response, this position may currently be offering partial or full remote work. However, in the near future this position will require full or partial on-site work.
