Our client in is looking for a Desktop Engineer to join their growing team in Center City, Philadelphia. This is a great opportunity for a mid-level IT Support professional to work within a collaborative team. The company offers great benefits and bonus potential.

Position Description:

  • Provide development and leadership for end user technologies
  • Provide support in form of initial call issues and ticket resolution or routing/escalation, Face-to-face support, Password recovery, user training, Executive level support handling
  • Ability to manage all technical procedures for PC and laptop hardware and operating systems, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). Application streaming technologies, Desktop applications (MS Office and industry standard), Desktop phones, Dedicated and shared printers and fax solutions, PC based video conferencing, LAN and conference rooms.
  • Provide support to all users across teams.
  • Develop solutions for all mobile devices including iOS and Android.
  • Participate in disaster recovery events.
  • Lead hardware and software rollouts.
  • Provide support for after hours change management.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in a Windows Desktop Environment with specific experience supporting virtual desktop deployments on a centralized service.
  • Ability to lead projects including major upgrades, software/OS, hardware refreshes and migration to cloud solutions.
  • Manage a 200+ user Desktop environment including all infrastructure, cloud, audio visual, and mobile devices.
  • Familiarity with all networks elements within MS Office, IE, McAfee, Outlook, Lync, VM Ware, Citrix and Amazon Workspaces, AWS AppStream and Citrix Virtual Applications
  • Ability to troubleshoot all networking equipment including remote access technologies and broad band routers, wireless access points, etc.

Bonus Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Equivalent
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft's MCSE, ITIL Foundations, CompTIA A+, and any related HDI certifications
