This is a highly critical and visible role accountable for cross-functional responsibilities supporting the business's Product Management function. As a Product Manager, you are responsible for partnering with Operational Teams, Key Stakeholders, and Experience Owners in defining the overall Product vision through Portfolio and Program Initiatives, Epics, and Stories. In addition, you will be responsible for defining Acceptance Criteria and participating in various SAFe Agile ceremonies for acceptance of the product delivery. You are a crucial member of Agile Release Train (ART) and partner closely with Experience Owner(s), Product Owner(s), Release Train Engineer (RTE), Scrum Master(s), and System Test Lead in defining overall ART Delivery including identifying key dependencies, helping to prioritize Portfolio and Program Initiatives, Epics, Stories for optimum release sequence and value realization. You are also responsible in partnership with the Experience Owner to ensure the socialization of production requirements with key stakeholders within the company and its Corporate teams and secure their required acceptance.

Note: This position primarily involves a hybrid work schedule - working remotely: Monday & Friday / On-site in Philadelphia, PA, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Under certain circumstances, we will consider a remote option providing candidates live within a 50-mile radius of downtown Philadelphia and are able to come to the office monthly.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Partner with Experience Owners to decompose Portfolio and Program Initiatives requirements into Epics
  • Identify dependencies and help define optimum program feature matrix
  • Define, document, manage and detail out Epics for each Scrum team
  • Act as a “subject matter expert” (SME) both for their internal Scrum team and also across the ART
  • Take responsibility for prioritization and execution of Program Initiatives and Epics in each Program Increment
  • Partner with Scrum Master and other ART team members on a regular basis to ensure assigned Epics are fully executed within the prescribed Program Increment
  • Plan and execute required Product Manager ceremonies as necessary (PI Planning, Grooming, Demo, etc.)
  • Lead prioritization of work for delivery team based on business value and engagement with stakeholders
  • Responsible for Epic management, including accurate descriptions and acceptance criteria
  • Actively participate in ART ceremonies like PO Sync and PI planning and escalates risks in a timely manner
  • Drive delivery by providing any clarifications or provide solutions by partnering with stakeholders, software implementers, and business SMEs, and capture decisions and ensure proper user stories assigned to the scrum team
  • Provide demonstration of working software and understanding of multiple software platforms
  • Effectively work across multiple business units, including Product, Architecture, and Delivery teams
  • Responsible to manage changes to the scope and schedule accordingly.
  • Effective in working productively with internal and external stakeholders with differing viewpoints

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred in Information Science and Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of successful delivery of business/system analysis including defining Business/functional requirements, Epic/Feature/User Story structure breakdown
  • Experience working in Agile, Kanban, and SAFe (scaled agile framework) environments
  • Demonstrated history of strong communication and collaboration abilities in a highly matrixed environment
  • Strong planning abilities - demonstrated history of setting milestone dates for a group of project tasks and ensuring their completion
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with acumen in synthesizing business dialogue into more concrete language
  • Ability to productively interface with matrix partners with different personal styles and varying levels of technical or business expertise
  • Analytical, organized, and an independent problem-solver
  • Comfortable being flexible in a fast-paced environment
  • Assertive, responsible for his/her own work (self-directed), have a strong affinity for defining work in deliverables, and is willing to drive for continuous improvement
  • Ability to identify and implement required actions quickly to accomplish goals and eliminate roadblocks
  • Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity, poise, maturity, and precision both written and verbally
