Core Java DeveloperOur Digital Home organization is seeking a Software Developer to join our Engineering team. This group is responsible for ensuring the timely development, testing, and release of the Digital Home platform, middleware and mobile applications with a high degree of quality that exceeds customer expectations.In this role, you will collaborate with other developers, designers, testers, tech-operators and business managers to develop features for the Digital Home applications. The primary responsibilities will include developing client interfaces and middleware for the Digital Home platform. You must be able to pick up new languages and technologies quickly, be a strong team player, and rapidly adapt to changing business and customer demands.The ideal candidate will enjoy learning on the fly, embracing technical challenges and solving problems for people. Job duties include a balance between development and fast-paced critical thinking, communication, troubleshooting and problem solving.Responsibilities/ Skills:• Knowledge of software implementation best practices• Ability to quickly learn new concepts and software• Candidate should be a self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, responsible team-player• Ability to manage multiple date-driven tasks concurrently• Self-starter with a natural willingness to get the job done• Thorough attention to detail, quality and precision• Looking at hands-on Java development experience rather than # of years. Would think that 4+ years would be around the sweet spot.• Develop middleware for the xFi app including feature updates, enhancements, bugs, etc.• Kanban methodology is used but that or Agile experience is only a plus.
