RevZilla.com is seeking a full-time Lead Camera Operator with finely tuned production skills to support our online marketing and original content offerings in the motorcycle e-commerce arena. The right candidate will be a detail-oriented and motivated video geek looking to bolster RevZilla’s production quality with their unique vision and capabilities.

RevZilla.com has emerged as the dominant player in the North American Motorcycle Market as well as the industry leader in how-to, review, lifestyle, and guide content for buying motorcycle gear online. RevZilla has also differentiated itself through a positioning as a technology & media company run by motorcycle enthusiasts. Founded in 2007, its growth has been nothing short of explosive.

The primary responsibility of the Lead Camera Operator is to film RevZilla video productions: consumer, original, internal, etc. This role is also responsible for production equipment management, and studio upkeep in the RevZilla Media & Content Department.

The Lead Camera Operator directly reports to the Video Production Manager (VPM) and collaborates with both the VPM and Director of Content Programming to bring the specific vision of the RevZilla video department to life through the camera lens. The ability to multitask at a high level and prioritize a vast to-do list is a must for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the authority of technical logistics necessary for video and Audio recording of Product, Educational, Educational Commerce, Bike Review, Gear Guide, Marketing and Internal videos for multiple production cycles.
  • Collaborate and accommodate multiple team members to analyze script breakdowns, develop shot lists, create shot aesthetics and schedule productions both in studio and in the field to create the most creatively engaging content possible.
  • Daily organization and cleaning of the video production studio and camera equipment.
  • Research new techniques and equipment to enhance RevZilla’s video production capabilities.
  • Pack, Prepare, and Travel with production gear during location shoots outside of RevZilla HQ.
  • Rent and Operate production equipment for advanced video productions.
  • Transfer, backup, and organize raw footage during location shoots outside of RevZilla HQ.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

  • Typical office and video production environments.
  • Concentrated mental and visual attention for sustained periods.
  • Repetitive hand motions.
  • Requires walking, standing, and continuous sitting for long periods.

Requirements:

  • 3 years professional experience
  • Travel: Up to 12 times Per Year
  • An Active Driver’s License

Qualifications

Our Lead Camera Op Is:

  • A seasoned and versatile camera operator, having successfully shot their way through an agency, television, feature film, or corporate production environment.
  • A veteran with experience in every aspect of production: Lighting, Shot Selection, Production Rundowns, Multi-Camera Setups, Audio, Lenses, Calibration, etc.
  • Skilled with multiple camera packages: Sony FS & Alpha, Canon Cinema EOS, and GoPro.
  • Knowledgeable in camera stabilization and support systems including Movi and DJI products.
  • A perfectionist who sweats the small stuff, but checks their ego at the door.
  • Ideally, a motorcycle enthusiast (how else are you going to get the riding footage?)

Our Lead Camera Op Will:

  • Help RevZillaTV grow it's 7.5K+ video library to expand our subscriber base, diversify our content, and grow our 100 million+ views by leaps and bounds.
  • Be a leader with their technical know-how and masterful attention to detail on every shoot.
  • Conquer studio shoots, but do backflips at the chance to shoot on-location for promo, lifestyle, and non-fiction content.
  • Join a team of creative video/moto geeks who pride themselves on the fact that our competitors copy everything we do.
  • Keep up to date with the latest in the creative video world, new techniques, and equipment.
  • Be based in Philadelphia, but willing to travel several times throughout the year.

  • Submit a current Resume & Demo Reel (long format submissions will NOT be reviewed).
