Find your future with us.Boeing’s Mission Accelerator program is currently looking for a Mid-level User Experience (UX) Designer / Developer to join the team. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Global Services (BGS) digital and analytics government and military business. The User Experience Designer will be designing software for customers that provide a variety of capabilities to help them optimize their programs and maximize their mission success.The UX Designer will join a versatile team of full stack software developers, data scientists, and technical subject matter experts. The team works within a larger organizational Scaled Agile (SAFe) process across other contributing teams.The software capabilities developed by the team provide customers with a variety of capabilities focused on operational, maintenance, supply and training optimization and analytics. Examples of capabilities include, but are not limited to, predictive maintenance solutions, supply chain optimization solutions utilizing advanced demand forecasting, real-time decision support models to optimize troubleshooting of complex systems. As part of the Mission Accelerator program, the technical development team applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, integrate, and deploy cutting edge digital and analytics capabilities, tools, and processes for our customers. This team is defining the future of digital and analytics capabilities for our customers. As part of this program, you’ll work with a wide range of cutting edge software engineering technologies as well as the latest data science solutions. That includes internal development activities as well as partnering with other industry leaders to bring the best of breed solutions to Boeing’s customers.Position Responsibilities:Partners with project teams to create effective, usable and satisfying user experiences with information technology. Performs user-centered design activities that actively involve users throughout all phases of a project to ensure product usability.

Conducts user research through interviews, field studies and surveys.

Defines user requirements and usability goals.

Creates user interaction design alternatives.

Conveys designs by building prototypes.

Conducts usability tests, heuristic evaluations or other reviews to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of the designs.

Diagnoses and analyzes usability issues and refines designs or recommends changes.

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):3+ years of experience with UI/UX design

Experience with end-to-end design processes

Able to plan and conduct a variety of UX research methods such as user interviews, surveys, and usability testing

Proficiency with current design and prototyping tools such as Sketch and InVision

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Experience working in SAFe or Agile teams

Understanding of data visualization techniques

Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master +1 years' related work experience, 7 years' related work experience, etc.).Relocation:Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
