Trigyn has a contract opportunity for a Network Engineer with our direct client (a major utility service firm) located in Philadelphia, PA.
This is a long-term project, running at least 1 year with the prospect of extending, and you will be required to work onsite at least 3 days/week as well. Details are as follows:Required skills and experience: A minimum of 6 years of relevant network engineering experience. Expert knowledge of CISCO Hardware (Router, Switches, Firewalls) and IOS. Expert knowledge of networking technologies (VPN, Frame-Relay, Wireless) and protocols. Expert knowledge of MS Windows Server and/or SUSE Linux/Novell OES and/or VMWare ESX. Administrator experience with Active Directory (AD). Experience with Novell or NetIQ products, including Identity Manager, Access Manager or Zenworks Solid knowledge of Desktop and Server Operating systems and Hardware technologies. Proficiency in MS Office Suite tools.Soft skills: Strong oral and written communication skills (ability to present and discuss technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding) Strong customer focus and ability to manage client expectations. Ability to plan and oversee day-to-day activities independently. Proven ability to work under stress or in emergencies. Flexibility to handle pressure coming from all directions simultaneously.Pluses: Experience with Fiber Channel zoning and provisioning SAN storage solutions (ideally with Hitachi) is highly desired. VDI experience with VMWare Horizon View and Thin App is highly desired. CISCO, Novell and/or Microsoft Certifications highly desired.
