Power BI Analyst

Contract to hire

Philadelphia, PA (remote and onsite)The Data Analyst/Power BI Developer reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer. This individual will also be a member of the Technology Task Force and work closely with both software teams and engagement teams. In the Data Analyst role, this person will perform various analytical reporting and programming duties primarily using Microsoft Power BI.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• Work directly with the Chief Operating Officer and engage with members of the Technology Task Force, Software Teams and engagement teams to acquire necessary data and documentation for various projects.• Maintain the firm’s Microsoft Power BI system.• Work with the Professional Resource Manager to generate firm capacity reports using Power BI in XCM.• Create functional requirements, design delivery and maintain dashboards as well as tabular reporting in Power BI from variety of data sources.• Automate recurring analyses at a firm-wide and client level.• Focus on KPI reporting for internal projects as well as developing data and analytics to meet business goals.• Provide valuable insight and clarity to engagement teams regarding potential efficiency and effectiveness gains for engagements.• Implement AI systems to maximize firm efficiency.• Analyze, design, develop, test, and support enterprise applications and batch software solutions.• Understand business needs, facilitating and developing process workflow, data requirements, and specifications required to support implementation.• Analyze, design, develop, test, and support open API architecture integrations.• Remain current on best practices and new developments in the industry.

Requirements:• Bachelor’s Degree in in Computer Science/Data Science, Management Information Systems, or related field• 3 or more years’ experience using Microsoft Power BI, Power Query and similar data analytics tools• Strong Excel experience developed from analytically focused engagements (preferably accounting industry related)• Strong management skills, including the ability to effectively plan, monitor, influence and negotiate• Critical thinking skills to break down complex issues and identify potential solutions• Ability to think strategically and analytically, and manage multiple responsibilities and projects• Strong presentation and interpersonal skills; strong written and oral communication skills• Reliable transportation• Ability to work overtime when necessary
