Position Description: This position may be filled at the Senior Project Manager or Project Manager level!

Senior Project Manager:

Job Summary:
This position functions within Penn Medicine Academic Computing Services (PMACS), participating in a web application development group providing services for the University of Pennsylvania's Perelman School of Medicine. The group is organized into seven Scrum teams of programmers, product owners and web designers. The physical work space is an open environment. This position works very closely with our clients (executive administrators and faculty of the School of Medicine) and who thrives working in a flexible, dynamic team environment. This is not a programming position, In Agile terminology; this is a Product Owner role.

Job Summary:
This position functions within Penn Medicine Academic Computing Services (PMACS), participating in a web application development group providing services for the University of Pennsylvania's Perelman School of Medicine. The group is organized into seven Scrum teams of programmers, product owners and web designers. The physical work space is an open environment. This is a position who is skilled in guiding projects to successful completion, is comfortable working very closely with clients (executive administrators and faculty of the School of Medicine) and who thrives working in a flexible, dynamic team environment. In Agile terminology, this is a Product Owner role.

Minimum Requirements: Senior Project Manager:

Required Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree required• Master's Degree preferred• Current Internal Penn Medicine Information Services division employees may be considered with proof of active and continued enrollment in an approved bachelor degree program• 7+ years of experience with project management, business analysis, or managing client relationships, preferably, but not necessarily, in a web applications environment

Required Skills: • Proven ability to analyze complex processes, and understand internal and external dependencies;• Demonstrated skill at balancing and managing multiple complex projects and clients with often fast-changing needs;• Experience planning, undertaking and finishing projects to a high standard, on time and within budget;• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to convey complex and often abstruse information in a clear, accessible way. Preferred Skills:• 7+ years of project management experience with demonstrated increase in responsibility and project complexity• Extremely strong attention to detail• Extremely team-oriented • A clear ability to manage a range of personality types in a facilitative and mature manner, even under stress • Experience in an educational or research • Experience in software development • Experience working as a Product Owner in an environment using Scrum or another Agile development methodology

Project Manager:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or related experience required• Current Internal Penn Medicine Information Services division employees may be considered with proof of active and continued enrollment in an approved bachelor degree program• 5+ years of experience with project management, business analysis, or managing client relationships, preferably, but not necessarily, in a web applications environment
