Job Description

As a Senior System Engineer, you will provide system implementation, support, monitoring and maintenance of Cerner's solutions and services. As a member of this team, you will perform daily system operations tasks to verify system integrity and availability, mentor and support associates in daily tasks and troubleshooting and manage changes and project activities, as well as communicate with impacted stakeholders. You will be responsible for supporting installation and maintenance of Cerner solutions, layered software, and infrastructure as well as evaluating, updating and improving project documentation. Your responsibilities will also include developing and deploying automation tools to optimize daily activities and provide Tier III and other support per service requests. Working Environment Hybrid & Onsite: No Relocation Assistance Offered This position offers a Hybrid & Onsite working environment. Meaning you will split working time between a Cerner office or client site and remote. If your current geographical location requires relocating, Cerner will not offer relocation assistance to the specified location. #LI-Hybrid

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • At least 8 years total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including:
    • At least 2 years system administration and/or system engineering work experience
    • At least 6 years additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education, including:
      • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • MCSA or CCNA certification
  • At least 3 years of SCCM System Engineering work experience
  • At least 2 years of creating and sustaining automated process for software delivery/packaging, operating system and deployment and configuration management to distribute throughout enterprise SCCM hiercharchy
  • At least 1 year of experience architecting and managing orchestration capabilities using Autopilot and InTune for both on-premisies and BYOD device deployments
  • At least 1 year of experience managing MDM solutions covering Windows 10/11 as well as testing, coordinating and Windows OS lifecyle management
  • At least 5 years of experience working in Microsoft SCCM and Intune co-management, Group Policy management and Powershell scripting
  • At least 5 years experience in the following: Active Directory, ADFS, VMware and VMware Horizon

Expectations
  • May be required to lift up to 20 lbs., i.e. server, network equipment
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
  • Willing to travel up to 80% as needed
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
