Are you living your life's work?Position:Security Officer CRC Security 54th CampusShift : Full Time ; Schedule may change based on departmental needs. Basic shift hours will be 8am-4pm, 4pm-12am and 12am-8am or as assigned to fill staffing for individual or special circumstances, e.g. special details and events.Job Description: The Security Officer is responsible for protecting the establishment, its patients, visitors, staff, employees and invitees against the hazards of crime, fire, other emergencies, and trespassing. Will maintain decorum of persons and assist in the enforcement of hospital rules and regulations. Will also provide information assistance and directions to patients, visitors and staff, as necessary.Minimum Requirements:

H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)

Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and/or two years of previous experience in the security, military or law enforcement field (preferred)

Must obtain PA ACT 235 within 6mos of hire. (Required)

Note: If the employee does not obtain the Act 235 certification within the first six (6) months of employment, the employee will be immediately terminated. It is the responsibility of the employee to maintain this certification throughout their employment with the HUP Security Department. Failure to recertify before the expiration date of their Act 235 Certification will result in immediate termination.

Driver's License (Required)

Must have a valid PA/NJ/DE driver's license

IAHSS basic certification preferred.
