Piper Companies is looking for a Sr. Scientist, Cryobiology to lead the formulation and cryobiology efforts for a Biotechnology Company in Philadelphia, PA .
Responsibilities for the Sr. Scientist, Cryobiology include:- Provide SME expertise in the field of Cryobiology
- Implement formulations to improve cryopreservation and cell health properties
- Ability to identify root cause cryopreservation and formulation issues
- Evaluate new technologies for formulation development work
- PhD in biological, technical, or engineering field and 2-6 years of post-doc/industry experience. Or MS degree in a relevant biological, technical, or engineering field with 7-10 years for MS, of relevant professional experience
- Ability to lead projects to improve cell/cryopreservation
- Expertise in DOE
- Analytical experience (preferred) in cell-based assays including viability, assessment of phenotype by flow cytometry, and other appropriate analytics to support cryopreservation efforts
- Permanent, Full time opportunity
