The Capacity Management team within CSCP is at the tip of the Capacity Fulfillment promise for the Microsoft cloud, building the engineering systems that are needed to address this critical problem for Microsoft. Strong empathy for the customer, deep engineering and problem solving capabilities and the ability to stay nimble and motivated through challenges brought up by the constantly growing and expanding customer base and demand are characteristics of our team.We are looking for an experienced, talented, and motivated software engineer to join the team and drive our offerings to the next level of scale and functionality. As a key member of the team you will be responsible for technical leadership and end-to-end development of the data solutionsand seamless delivery of new featuresResponsibilitiesBuild software prototypes and conduct experiments to evaluate alternative architectures.
Take end-to-end responsibility for the development, quality, testing, and production readiness of the services you build.
Effectively communicate status of the deliverables, issues, and risks
Mentor junior members of the team
Conduct periodic on call duties
QualificationsBasic Qualifications:BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
At least 5 years' experience in software engineeringand Proficient in programming with C#, Java, or C+Prefered Qualifiations:
Experience with at least one of the following scripting languages: PowerShell, Python, Perl, JavaScript or Ruby (for data manipulation and automation tasks).
Demonstrated experience adapting to, and learning new languages, tools, and environments
Excellent computer science fundamentals with strong testing, debugging, and analytical skills
Knowledge of various design patterns and technologies that enable business problem-solving at scale
Experience with designing and operating distributed systems, data transformations & modeling and strong problem solving skills.
Strong communication skills with both engineering and non-engineering colleagues
