Job DescriptionThis position plays a critical role in the technical leadership and enhancements of highly visible, strategically significant Catastrophe Management systems which include capabilities such as loss analyses, risk accumulation and reporting. The candidate must have strong technical experience along with the aptitude to develop an understanding of complex enterprise systems with ease.This position requires an engineer who is analytical and results-oriented with a passion for modern technologies, an appreciation for complex applications, and a desire to work in a collaborative agile environment as part of a global team.

Responsibilities include:• Lead architecture and design for highly complex insurance applications• Lead application team members in implementation of robust solutions• Develop reliable, performant, and scalable applications leveraging a highly sophisticated architecture• Multitask and practice good time management skills, both individually and as part of a team• Demonstrate excellent scoping, estimation, software testing and quality assurance experience• Conduct performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, automation• Demonstrate attention to security design and implementation best practices• Communicate effectively on agile teams and with external teams• Lead and mentor offshore team members• Our team is working towards advanced software solutions and process automation for our custom-built insurance applications, implementing microservices, RESTful APIs, cloud services (Azure), DevOps (Jenkins), Angular, mobile development (HTML5, Native iOS/Android), big data technologies (MongoDB), data science (Python) and machine learning (AI/Client)

Qualifications:• 7+ years software development experience• Strong troubleshooting and resolution skills• Able to self-direct and work independently as well as collaboratively• Able to lead and drive technical solutions and innovation• Able and eager to learn quickly• Able and eager to explore and apply new technologies• C#.NET, ASP.NET, MVC, REST, JSON, WCF, XML, Javascript, Windows Services• SQL Server (T-SQL, Stored Procs, SSIS)• NUnit or equivalent unit test framework• Object-oriented design and programming/service-oriented architecture• Implement software design patterns and security best practices• GIT version control
