We are looking for an exceptional IT Project Manager based in or near Philadelphia, PA that wants to grow a successful career and want to be part of an ambitious, highly focused team. As a project manager, you will be part of a high-visibility portfolio of projects, working on leading-edge initiatives. Your primary responsibilities will be managing a technical project delivery team supporting the migration of applications into a cloud-based environment from legacy on-premise architecture.Note: This position primarily involves a hybrid work schedule - working remotely: Monday & Friday / On-site in Downtown Philadelphia: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Directly manages all aspects of the project lifecycle and works with matrix IT partners to oversee all deliverables
  • Define and track project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan that includes contingency plans, inter- and intra-project, and solution dependencies, and other related project management artifacts
  • Serves as subject matter expert in routinely briefing key stakeholders on different aspects of assigned initiatives.
  • Facilitate project planning and manage the execution of projects to plan
  • Proposes recommendations and adjustments to project delivery and related solutions throughout the life of the initiative
  • Communicates clearly with all levels of stakeholders to ensure deliverables are hit. Can articulate tradeoffs and impacts with the big picture in mind to enable strategic and tactical decision-making as well as mitigate risk
  • Rigorously manage scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed-on time, cost and quality parameters Proposes recommendations and process change through defined change management procedures
  • Provide resourcing/financial estimates
  • Lead vendors and/or contractors in the context of a project; Manage adherence of vendor commitments against projects deliverables and quality thereof
  • Define and track project charter, integrated project plan, resource plan, risk plan, and related project management artifacts
  • Analyze risk, establish contingency plans and identify trigger events and responsibilities for initiating mitigating action
  • Ensuring that all team members understand the scope of the project as well as their responsibility/accountability with deliverables
  • Compiling and maintaining project status reports and minutes of meetings
  • Determine what constitutes successful closure for all parties. Gain acceptance and sign-off by all parties when closure is attained
To be considered for this role, you must be highly motivated, driven to succeed, have proven IT leadership skills, and have demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale IT application delivery in a matrixed environment. You are an accomplished project master and skilled problem solver who can motivate change as well as a strategic thinker who understands the big picture.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Science and Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline (MBA is preferred)
  • 8 -10 years of technology project management including applications and infrastructure is required
  • A proven ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders; mobilize and motivate teams; set direction and approach; resolve conflict; deliver tough messages with grace; execute with limited information and ambiguity
  • Ability to navigate a fast-paced, highly matrixed organization effectively
  • Demonstrated, applied experience establishing and delivering complex projects
  • Excellent problem-solving and strategic thinking skills
  • Experience working in an agile delivery environment (Agile & SAFe)
  • Experienced or knowledge of multiple IT disciplines including software designs and architecture patterns, quality assurance methods, requirement gathering, business process engineering, etc.
