Position Description: The role of theTraining Environment Analyst is to configure / build training environments to provide accurate and effective material and education. Provide technical assistance with the build and maintenance of the training environment and the associated environments.

Accountabilities• Perform multi-level testing with responsibility for analysis of results and resolution of any problems.• Analyze workflows and develop education/training material to ensure education/training initiatives are met. Research and analyze new functionality to develop education materials• Configuring training environments to provide accurate and effective material and education.• Maintain training environment related documentation (i.e. Cookbooks, Mitosis Sheets, Master User Spreadsheets).• Coordinate with Penn Medicine Technical teams for scheduled maintenance and downtime.• Participate in EMR change control meeting and processes. Manage content loaded to the learning home dashboards and education websites• Planning and development of new specifications in the environment. Assist with Writing, designing, editing, and maintaining documentation and training materials.• Assist in coordination of training environment rebuild periods. Gather required data from users to evaluate objectives, goals, and scope to create technical specifications.• Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures• Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization

Minimum Requirements: Required Education and Experience• Bachelor's Degree in instructional design, business, education, or a healthcare related field is required.• Current Internal Penn Medicine Information Services division employees may be considered with proof of active and continued enrollment in an approved bachelor degree program• 3+ years of direct EMR build experience is required

Licenses, Registrations, and Certifications• At least one electronic medical record (EMR) certification, preferably Epic. If the certification is Epic, completion of at least one Epic 300 level TED course

Required Skills and Abilities• Demonstrated proficiency to manage complex data sets• Knowledge of healthcare operations and data structures and the use of information system applications in the practicing healthcare environment• Ability to express technical information clearly and simply to non-technical persons• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff• Demonstrated customer service skills• Experience with electronic health records• Ability to follow oral and written instructions• Ability to implement process improvements• Experience in developing and presenting analytics reports• Demonstrated success in coordinating the activities and deliverables of project teams• Experience in designing, building, and improving key processes• Ability to follow through issues to resolution.• Ability to troubleshoot, research, and solve technically challenging problems involving integrated systems.• Ability to navigate a political landscape with internal and external stakeholders preferred• Ability to lead educations sessions appropriate to the audience

Additional Information: As part of our COVID-19 response, this position may currently be offering partial or full remote work. However, in the near future this position will require full or partial on-site work.
