Our New York office is consistently ranked in Engineering News Record's (ENR's) list of top NY design firmsSTV is currently seeking a Vice President, Health and Safety to join our leadership team and can be located in any one of the following office locations andndash; Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore or Charlotte.This position will report into the COO and will be responsible for all aspects of STV's EHS program, including managing compliance and directing the development, deployment and continuous improvement of environmental, health and safety management systems across STV's US and Canada operations. This position will be responsible for ensuring compliance with internal corporate policy and external regulatory requirements and initiatives.PRINCIPAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage performance and accountability for Health and Safety for all divisionsResponsible for developing, promoting and implementing a proactive, positive safety culture - Actively promotes a zero-injury culture across all employees and functionsDevelop, implement and manage all HandS programs and policies to ensure compliance with Federal, state and local regulations (Assure compliance with internal and external requirements)Leads EHS programs with both direct and matrix reporting responsibilities.Reviews new designs, processes, and projects to identify and eliminate EHS impacts.Develop proposal Health and Safety prequalification requirementsPerformance Management:Track and evaluate leading and lagging indicators and collaborate with company executives, site leadership, and insurance risk management services to develop and implement corrective measures and provide expertise in the inspection, analysis, audit and investigation of our safety practices.Compile, calculate and manage associated injury safety statistics and complete OSHA and client recordkeeping requirements, including supporting completion of third-party databases such as ISN, BROWZ, etc. Participate in insurance provider safety education seminars.Manage reporting and investigation of all accidents/incidents and assist with effective corrective measuresDevelop and lead company-wide multi-year EHS strategy to provide program direction for leadership and managementStay current on regulatory issues/trends through seminars, networking, and industry group participation.Remains current with all applicable regulations and company policies and implements appropriate programs to ensure compliance.Assist Human Resources in driving worker's compensation program, claims management and injury management; liaison between third party administrator and insurance providerParticipate in the Company Drug and Alcohol Program /Performs other similar tasks as required and assigned.JOB REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in related field is required (Occupational Safety. Health, Environment or Compliance or combination of related certifications), Master's Degree preferredMust have minimum 15 years of experience in managing EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) or similar programs at the facility and enterprise level andndash; (Arch and Engineering environments)Must have overall knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations10 hr. and 30 hr. OSHA construction trainingEHS related licenses, certifications and/or membership in EHS professional associations are desiredOccasional travel for office and site
