Since 1993 Metropolitan Bakery has been tempting Philadelphians with freshly baked and hand-crafted bread, pastries, snacks, and their famous granola made from locally sourced ingredients.
Metropolitan Bakery is seeking a Mixer – Oven Baker to join our bread department. This is a fulltime position at our Production Facility located in the Fishtown section of Philadelphia.
Shift 2:30am to 10:30am, 5 shifts per week, must be available weekends.
The ideal applicant would have
Knowledge of Bread Mixing/ Fermentation process.
1 year of Bread Baking, Oven Operation.
Experience with sourdough bread process including levains and polish.
Ability to fulfill production required to complete retail and wholesale needs.
Ability to plan and organize production.
Food safety knowledge (certification preferred)
Must be able to lift 50# and physically be able to perform tasks

Compensation determined by experience:
Starting compensation 19.00+
