About the Position:

Make the Road is seeking a recruitment manager that is an experienced, dynamic recruiter that has the personality and energy to facilitate hiring opportunities for a large-scale hiring push in Eastern PA. This individual will recruit leads for a large-scale voter registration operation, and will be responsible for promoting and maintaining a consistent influx of talented leads using new technologies and techniques. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who seeks to create social change, connect community members to important work that directly impacts the issues that are most important to them, and work hands-on in a fast-paced environment to create a long-term impact in the communities that need it most.

Primary Responsibilities

The Recruitment Manager will:

Recruit and Assign Leads: Support Field Managers throughout the region by consistently recruiting new leads for them to interview, train, and hire.

Transform Social Change: Be part of a team where your voice, and your ideas, matter and make a difference. Join our team on the ground floor to contribute new ideas, and help change how social change happens in America;

Increase Scope and Reach: Identify and utilize as many methods and media as possible to reach new applicant pools and applicants of higher quality.

Assign leads to offices: Meet your outreach objectives and/or canvass in the field as needed for each city to recruit new employees to help build our numbers, then assign those leads to the offices where they were recruited to so that Field Managers can follow up

Run an Innovative Office: Track deliverables and logistics needed to keep our team growing. Analyze performance and set strategy.

Job Requirements:

We are seeking a seasoned recruiter with strong references who is interested in growing the operation into a powerhouse of voter registration in 2018. The ideal candidate should have at least 1 to 2 years (2-4 cycles) of canvassing recruitment and preferably leadership experience.

Candidates should also have:

A demonstrated commitment to social justice, strong analysis of systemic oppression based on race, class, gender, sexual orientation and gender identity, and an understanding of challenges facing immigrant communities, Communities of Color, and low-and moderate-income families;

Excellent organizational skills and good attention to detail;

A high level of self-motivation and a proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively;

Ability to work well with diverse groups and populations;

Dedication and ability to work flexible hours;

Capacity to engage and inspire a variety of audiences

Willingness and ability to relocate and/or travel for these positions

Proficiency in English and Spanish

This position pays $20 an hour.
