We have a great opportunity for a Field Services Engineer to join a Technology Solutions provider in the Philadelphia area. The purpose of the role is to provide best in class technical support to clients which could include, desktop and server troubleshooting, hardware and software installation and upgrades. This is a client facing position with travel to clients in the Philadelphia area.The Role will involve
- Maintenance of workstations
- Provide troubleshooting and be an escalation point for the support desk and help resolve issues
- Participate in regular meetings with the client and internal teams
- Ensure continuous improvement of standards in line with company and industry best practice
- Experience deploying home networks including Cable/DSL/FIOS modems, firewalls, hardware and software VPN clients
- Understanding of networking concepts: TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS, Routing, Switching and Firewalls
- Microsoft Windows 7/8/10, Microsoft Office 2007-2016
- Android/iOS/Windows Mobile/Blackberry configuration and troubleshooting.
- Troubleshooting Desktops/Laptops/Mobile devices/Printers/Fax Machines/Scanners/Copiers
- College Diploma or University Degree in Computer Science would be an advantage
- Minimum of 2 years in an end user support role
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with clients at all levels
