Position Description: The Site Manager Information Services (IS) is responsible for managing all Information Services activities within an assigned facility, facilities and/or specialty services provided in the facility. The Site Manager IS is responsible for understanding the operational business and has the skills to provide overall Information Systems troubleshooting and resolution, project direction and other activities pertinent to the business at the facility. Serves as the liaison between the site(s) assigned and Corporate IS with primary responsibility to manage the IS operations at the facility in support of the facility and enterprise strategy.

Accountabilities,• Manages all Information Services (IS) activities and projects at a Penn Medicine for designated site(s) or entity. • Directs and manages project coordination with the Project Management Office (PMO), applications teams, outsourced IS functions, external consultants, vendors and Penn Medicine departments and divisions. • Manages the overall site based IS activities and projects from system selection, project justification (ROI), budgeting process, delivery, closure and day-to-day operations. • Initiates discussions about capital projects needed to meet the strategy of the site(s) or entity, conducting risk assessment and mitigation, problem resolution and ensuring the completion of projects within budget. • Provides guidance on the integration of systems with existing clinical, administrative and financial systems. • Guides the day-to-day delivery of IS services through appropriate personnel. • Coordinates with IS and departmental management in the annual planning process. • Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures• Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization

Minimum Requirements: Required Education and Experience• Bachelor's Degree required• Current Internal Penn Medicine Information Services division employees may be considered with proof of active and continued enrollment in an approved bachelor degree program. • 5 years project management experience with demonstrated increase in responsibility and project complexity required• 5 years experience working in a healthcare Information Services environment required

Required Skills and Abilities• Ability to troubleshoot, research and solve technically challenging problems• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff• Ability to implement process improvements• Demonstrated project management skills• Demonstrated success in coordinating the activities and deliverables of project teams• Demonstrated interpersonal/verbal communication skills• Demonstrated customer service skills• Knowledge of healthcare operations and data structures and the use of information system applications in the practicing healthcare environment

• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of client/server technology and infrastructure capabilities. • Demonstrated knowledge of hardware configurations, database management tools and query language.

Additional Information: As part of our COVID-19 response, this position may currently be offering partial or full remote work. However, in the near future this position will require full or partial on-site work.
