SummaryDigital Experience Group (/dxg), a Division of Wolters Kluwer, is searching for an Associate Director of Product Software Engineering reporting into the VP of Product Software Engineering. You will partner to lead and build teams that engineer and implement new Products and sustaining existing Product improvements. You will create and deliver on meaningful, large scale technology projects that will support the overall value and performance of the Health Learning Research and Practice business unit. Your vision and the work of your team will ultimately deliver capabilities and new Product offerings to enable the business unit to generate more revenue and be more profitable.

Responsibilities
  • Effectively manage multiple work streams and internal and external resource from solution, architecture, development, QA, deployment and ongoing support and maintenance of new and existing technologies.
  • Responsible for ensuring there are project release plans and successful deployments across multiple pre-production and production environments; overseeing the roll-out process, sequencing events, and ensuring the hardware and software systems are fully deployed, implemented and functioning.
  • Understand and manage constituents' expectations and expressions of priority through continuous communication with those stakeholders
  • Act as the technology owner in critical projects, ensuring project success by understanding the needs of the business and leadership, identifying appropriate solutions, and determining how technology should be leveraged to make the solution happen.
  • Enable your team to provide highly responsive and continuous support to the solutions you provide.
  • Partner with leadership on budgeting and financial projects.
  • Partner with Product to ensure the backoffice systems can support new product offerings from opportunity to cash.
  • Work with the finance and security teams to make sure the systems that are being implemented comply, are secure, and ensure secure infrastructure.
  • Ensure that management and controls for systems, applications, and data must comply with all audit requirements.
  • Support the organization's key initiatives by providing accurate, and timely data to decision makers across the enterprise.
  • Responsible for the Application Architects and Development teams.
Experience
  • A minimum of 15 years of related experience in software development with emphasis on Web-based Product development.
  • Strong working knowledge with Scrum and/or Kanban and clear understanding of Agile concepts and principles.
  • Must have experience building scalable web-based software technologies and architectures, including public cloud and service architectures.
  • Experience leading teams of business facing technology professionals.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing business relationships between technology and business resources such as product owners, project champions, and stakeholders.
  • Successful experience managing application portfolios mapped to company's strategic goals.
  • Experience as a change agent, delivering large-scale technology and behavioral change in an organization
Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organization, and conflict resolution skills
  • Experience in Application Security and Privacy
  • Desired experience with Confluence and Jira.
  • Proactive, creative, and self-starting nature.
  • Enthusiasm, positive attitude, and a drive to succeed are critical.
