Position Description: This role requires an overall understanding of device integration and vital signs data from the bedside monitors to the EMRs. Understanding of HL7 protocol, Capsule Technology, GE CPN Connect application, and other HealthCare related applications is desirable. Strong analytical ability, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills are essential. In addition, the following requirements are a must

• Strong background in Applications support including an understanding of databases and reporting need• A strong understanding system/hardware setup and troubleshooting• This position sometimes require onsite support for systems/applications at the hospital, including the ORs, ICUs and other hospitals departments/units• Teamwork and Collaboration is essential to succeed in this role• Participate in 7 X 24 on-call rotation supporting diverse healthcare applications

Associate Technical Analyst

Summary of Accountabilities:
• Assisting with the creation and delivery of technical and programming solutions to previously identified needs and business problems under the direction of a senior analyst. • Ensure system changes follow change management procedures and protocols.

Technical Analyst

Summary of Accountabilities:
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills required • Migration of data between environments• System build, validation and workflow testing• Implementation and activation of new features (hardware and software)• Application analysis• Workflow analysis• Accountability, responsibility and ownership in regard to work performed• Team player Ability to interact with all levels of hospital personnel to include: IT management staff, consulting staff, clinicians, hospital administrators, etc. • Must be able to function as part of a team providing a high level of quality service to clients• Must be able to complete tasks in a self-directed manner once assigned

Senior Technical Analyst

Summary of Accountabilities:
• Responsibilities include creating and delivering technical resolutions to create workflow, process design and programming solutions to business problems. • Must have strong analytical, programming and communication skills and be able to balance technical and business objectives to improve quality outcomes.• Must be able to create and implement project plans and routinely communicate status of work. • Assist in the education & training of new hires and other team members and be available as a resource for the team.

Minimum Requirements: Associate Technical Analyst

Degree Requirements and Minimum Experience Required:
• High school diploma or GED required.• Minimum of one year related experience required.• Experience in health care IT preferred.

Required Skills: • Utilizes industry standard processes to generate specifications for implementation and for specification review process under the direction of a senior analyst.• Knowledge of hardware configurations, database management tools and query language.• Good communication skills, both written and verbal. • Ability to troubleshoot, research and solve problems.• Detail oriented, analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills required.

Technical Analyst

Degree Requirements and Minimum Experience Required:
• Bachelor's degree required. • Current Internal Penn Medicine Information Services division employees may be considered with proof of active and continued enrollment in an approved bachelor degree program.• Minimum of 2 years related experience required.• Experience in health care IT preferred.

Required Skills: • Provide technical expertise to ensure that the design, implementation and end results meets business requirements.• Use Software Development Life cycle (SDLC) to generate specifications for implementation and for the specification review process.• Work with our internal management and internal/external customers to develop the deployment strategy, plan, and schedule.• Strong written and oral communication skills.• Understanding of technical integration technologies/platforms preferred• Knowledge of healthcare operations and data structures and the use of information system applications in the practicing healthcare and financial environment are preferred.

Senior Technical Analyst

Degree Requirements and Minimum Experience Required:
• Bachelor's degree required• Current Internal Penn Medicine Information Services division employees may be considered with proof of active and continued enrollment in an approved bachelor degree program.• Minimum of 3 years related experience required. • Experience in complex technical projects required.• Experience in health care IT preferred.

Required Skills: • Provide Technical expertise to ensure that the design, implementation and end results meet the business requirements. • Utilizes industry standard processes to generate specifications for implementation and for specification review process.• Ensures project scope and design and pragmatic and results orientated technical decisions. • Identify problem definitions and make recommendations regarding refinements and decisions, throughout the product life cycle. • Contribute to, and/or own, the development process for the deployment strategy, plan and schedule. • Strong analytical, problem identification and resolution skills.• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. • Knowledge of healthcare operations, data structure and use of information system applications in the practicing healthcare and financial environment. • Ability to both recognize project barriers or risks and address them in a timely fashion. • Demonstrated ability to function as part of a team providing a high level of quality service.

Additional Information: As part of our COVID-19 response, this position may currently be offering partial or full remote work. However, in the near future this position will require full or partial on-site work.
