Summary:

The primary duties of a gas/diesel technician/mechanic include performing diagnostic tests on diesel vehicles to find faults, analyzing diagnostic test results, and repairing or replacing engine, steering, transmission, braking, or lighting system components.

​Responsibilities:

Accurately document work performed on repair orders.

Operate various manufacturer computer programs to run diagnostic tests.

Repair and maintain all components in light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks.

Reconditions and replaces truck parts and components using, hand tools, pneumatic tools, and precision measuring instruments.

Perform annual state and federal safety inspections: checking safety equipment, including the glass, horn, brakes, tire tread, and exterior lights.

Perform emissions inspections/measure carbon emissions.

Stay current on state and federal regulations and emissions codes.

Diagnostics and repair of air and hydraulic brake systems, steering and suspension systems, electrical systems, heating and air conditioning systems, and engine mechanical repairs.

Requirements:

Must Have At Least 2 Years of Previous Experience As A Diesel Mechanic/Technician​

Experience in diagnosing and repairing light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks.

Experience performing PM-related services.

Must have a valid driver"s license: CDL Preferred.

Must be able to lift 50lbs/push-pull 75lbs.

High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Must be able to understand & effectively communicate in English

Certifications on either Isuzu or Hino products are a plus.

ASE certification preferred.

CDL certification preferred. (We will train)

Must be able to pass a pre-employment and random drug screening required by DOT.
