Our client, an integrated brand strategy, design, and technology agency is looking for a full-time seasoned web developer to join their development team. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who loves architecting and building complex websites, collaborating with other developers and folks across digital specialties, evolving and enhancing their process, best practices, and workflows, and enjoys working in a flexible agency environment, where they walk the walk in terms of employee advocacy and support. This position is fully remote with the option to work in the office in Center City, Philadelphia when/if desired. The Lead Web Developer will be: - Creating and executing holistic solutions to new technical challenges, including end-to-end projects or feature buildouts.- Taking on complex or time-sensitive programming/development tasks (with relative ease), writing the necessary code to complete features or solve problems, while taking budget, timeline, and client needs into consideration.- Troubleshooting problems within existing code, even in instances where a senior level developer has been unable to identify a solution.- Collaborating with designers, strategists, and other roles as necessary to understand goals, constraints, and requirements at a holistic level during the scoping and implementation phases.- Managing your own day-to-day productivity by reviewing your ticket assignments (in Jira), communicating with project managers, and providing daily updates in your assigned tickets- Communicating directly with clients, providing insight, guidance, and technical solutions.- Acting as an internal project consultant for web and application projects, coordinating with project managers and providing meaningful direction and documentation for: estimates and project plans, allocation of developer resources, technical implementation plans, delegating tasks and providing quality control over delegated tasks- Provide direct support and oversight to local and remote teams, and are responsible for ensuring a smooth flow of communication and requirements.- Performing regular code reviews and enforce best practices.- Defining and implementing strategies and tactics to improve productivity or overall team processes.The Lead Web Developer will have: - A demonstrated history of solving complex problems using the following technologies, but not limited to: Open source CMS Platforms (Drupal, Wordpress specifically) HTML5, Javascript, CSS/SCSS, and PHP.- Experience writing significant blocks of code with few or no reference points. - Strong understanding and working knowledge of the underpinnings of the technologies, such as: object oriented programming, database architecture, server configuration, build tools and package management (e.g. composer, npm), MVC and similar design patterns, version control and API integrations and data transformation- Stong communication, time management, and project management skillsSubmit resume (and samples if applicable) to:Vacancy expired!
