Cyber Security Engineer
Position Description CGI is looking for a Cyber Security Engineerto join the Credit development and maintenance team.The position has a broad area of responsibilities that requires working closely with the software teams, analyzing software vulnerability analysis tool results, assessing client questions and generating responses, implementing software updates to resolve vulnerabilities, security liaison with other CGI groups, metric tracking, reporting and presenting to management, etc. The candidate will work with product teams to coordinate software updates, and lead a small team to support the Security function to capture metrics, create reporting and work through other security tasks.Home base location is flexible but should be in proximity to a U.S. CGI office. The member will work East Coast hours.Your future duties and responsibilities• Security Liaison - The candidate will work in close contact with security groups in CGI, product managers and product maintenance to coordinate security activities needed to support and comply with security guidelines for the FISG Credit Product suite.• Vulnerability Scans Results Analysis - Review of security scan outputs and render analysis and action plans for actioning confirmed vulnerabilities.• Open Source Software/Third Party Software - Scanning of these components to review reported vulnerabilities and develop an approach for addressing vulnerabilities by updating to newer versions across the product suite. Maintain inventory of OSS/Third Party Software for use in documentation.• Reporting - Tracking the inventory of security vulnerability defects and create management and team reporting on status and trending. Create snapshots for historical stats and reference, and archive scanning tool reporting output.• Client Support - This area is for a variety of tasks related to client interaction that the candidate may be involved in. Some examples are: Provide subject matter expertise for security defect remediation, help with responses to client issues, creating an action plan for remediation within SLA, etc.• Provide guidance for a few team members that are focused on Security Vulnerabilities maintenance.Required qualifications to be successful in this role• Five years of experience as a cybersecurity professional• At least seven years of experience as a software developer with solid Java and Spring Framework fundamentals, and experience with cloud computing and components, e.g., with Kubernetes, Docker, etc.Desired qualifications/non-essential skills requiredThe candidate should have Cybersecurity Certifications, e.g., CISSP, and education in the cybersecurity area pertinent to the job requirements and responsibilities.Est.
