We are currently hiring an Google Apigee Engineer Remote Responsibilities:Design, build, maintain and support the Apigee infrastructure Automate a lot of the manual tasks that are currently being performed (install, configure, apply patching, etc) Work on the installations of Apigee On-Prem including fix packs and new server builds Facilitate DR (Disaster Recovery) planning and exercises to ensure that the team are fully prepared in the event of a catastrophe Lead Capacity Planning and Management activities to ensure that the Apigee platform will be able to handle current and additional transactions in the future Lead root cause analysis session to understand Production issues and come up with solutions that will prevent them from happening in the future Build relationship with the client application teams to understand their business needs and requirements for the Apigee Platform and coach them on how to use the platform to the full extent Mentor Junior Engineers to acquire Apigee knowledge and platform management skills Technical Skills and Desired Experience:Strong troubleshooting skills in the API Management and Gateway space (Mainly Apigee) Ability to explain each Apigee component function and how they interact Apigee Infrastructure build and maintenance, Gateway setup, Oauth configuration Experience with automation using Ansible Strong understanding of Linux operating system is a must Experience with shell and python scripting Experience with CICD Tools (Jenkins, GitHub, etc.) Good understanding of REST API and JSON Knowledge of existing API Testing Tools (Postman, SoapUI, or any equivalent tools) Experience with high availability, load balancing and failover configurations with Apigee Experience in designing and implementing API platform for high traffic API solutions Ability to apply security, throttling, OAuth, TLS, certificates, KeyStore, and Trust store for the Apigee platform Experience with Apigee Management APIs and integration to the enterprise systems including:o Infrastructure & Application monitoring, Authorization and Authentication, Logging, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) and the Developer Portal Have previously worked on an enterprise platform team that supports multiple Software Development product teams Bachelors Degree in related field or sufficient prior experiences Interview Type:Video Interview Hari Atmakur | Senior Recruiter p: e: 12901 Worldgate Drive Suite 510, Herndon, VA 20170 www.compugain.com
