Overview
- Manages a small to medium-sized team responsible for definition, planning and management of SCM activities.
- Supervises and provides technical guidance to assigned project teams.
- Manages the process for developing and maintaining SCM systems.
- Defines, implements and improves upon SCM environments.
- Monitors software and systems defects. Ensures product migrations through all systems environments as per SCM processes.
- Ensures that the day-to-day SCM tasks are carried out appropriately and recommends improvements when appropriate.
- Interacts directly with clients regarding project activities as appropriate.
- Participates in the recruiting process, instructs, assigns, directs and reviews the work of other software configuration staff, prepares performance reviews and provides ongoing feedback.
- Manages a small SCM team.
- Contributes to the achievement of team objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required, advanced degree is is preferred.
- Eight or more (8+) years of experience in a systems SCM environment.
- Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
