Contract Role: Monitoring Engineer with Dynatrace at Pittsburgh PA Please check below JD, this is required for monitoring Job through Dynatrace & Unix / Windows servers with different monitoring tool exposure
- Windows & Linux OS experience
- Scripting (Bash, Perl, Python, and others as needed)
- Dynatrace/ Unix /Linux windows monitoring and routing triage request
- Knowledge of the following vendor platforms: IBM Tivoli Monitoring, IBM Tivoli Composite Application Manager (RRT, ISM, and AMC agents), Dynatrace AppMon, Dynatrace Managed
- Familiarity with database platforms (Oracle, DB2, MS SQL, etc.)
- Ability to learn and apply new technology
- Familiarity with GIT or equivalent SCM tools
- Technical documentation/writing
- Event management monitoring
- Support application teams in incident analysis and resolution
- Respond to monitoring requests to create, modify, or remove monitoring in Dynatrace or SCOM
- Enhance monitoring functionality or capabilities
- Address security vulnerabilities that are identified for the SCOM platform
- Perform validation of the SCOM platform after patching or other infrastructure events
- Perform maintenance on the SCOM platform as needed
- Perform certification of SLM (SCOM) related firewall rules as required
- Oversee synthetic monitoring standards and practices (i.e. establish naming standards, etc.)
- Experience in SMP and CMC
- Communication skills
