GENERAL OVERVIEW:
Provides nursing care to the patient undergoing endoscopic procedures. Collaborates with the patient and physician to provide care.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conducts pre-procedural assessment and data collection.
- Participates in the care of patients undergoing GI procedures.
- Provides proper documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards and requirements.
- Maintains a safe environment for patients from assessment through to the recovery period.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum
- Current licensure as an RN
- ACLS & BLS required to obtain within 6 months of hire
- Minimum 2 years Nursing experience
- Must be available for call, and respond on site within 45 minutes
Preferred
- One year critical care experience
- Recent GI Lab or Office Exp
