Job Description
As a
Retail Job Coach, you would provide employability skills training, support and supervision to individuals with disabilities/barriers to employment by ensuring that individuals’ needs are met, goals are implemented, and a safe environment is maintained.Duties will also include but are not limited to:- Provide training on proper work techniques and socialization skills through the completion of job and task analysis; implement necessary educational, behavioral, and/or developmental supports, including any identified assertive technology; build natural supports within the work environment; identify and implement job modifications such as graphical or adaptive work illustrations, and assist client in establishing routines that promote independence.
- Utilize positive motivational strategies and techniques that help client attain identified employment goals.
- Articulate and make recommendations to other team members and stake holders on needs and preferences of client.
- Communicate client progress and provide feedback in both written and oral form to the team.
- Provide coverage for other job coaches and their clients as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent and 4 or more years’ experience successfully working with individuals with disabilities/barriers to employment.OR
- Associates Degree (Human Services, Psychology/Rehabilitation science, social services, or related) and 2 or more years’ experience successfully working with individuals with disabilities/barriers to employment.OR
- Bachelors Degree (Human Services, Psychology/Rehabilitation science, social services, or related) and 1 or more years’ experience successfully working with individuals with disabilities/barriers to employment.
