Senior Financial Data Analyst, who will be responsible for supporting ongoing Data Analytics transformation efforts to be a data-driven organization and finding sustainable efficiency and savings opportunities born from rigorously and objectively analyzing enterprise data

Requirements:
  • College Degree
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience
  • Knowledge at the intersection of financial, operational, and customer domains to drive business value, as well as awareness of the regulatory environment
  • Experience with quantitative and financial analysis skills – including multivariate regression and other advanced statistical analysis
  • Experience engaging cross-functional stakeholders and clearly communicating analyses in terms of business drivers
  • Experience and the ability to shape and drive large-scale, cross-functional, multi-level programs around people, technology, and processes, balancing long-term strategy with quick wins
  • Institutional knowledge of the industry, including a thorough understanding of the utility business model, critical operations, customer interactions, and other external and internal stakeholder expectations and needs
  • Strong data-driven analytical skills with an ability to integrate data from multiple sources for developing actionable, value add insights and solutions
  • Experience with Power BI or similar visualization tools is a plus
  • Experience with SQL, R, or another programing language is a plus

Responsibilities:
  • Performing data collection, data cleansing, data analysis, data modeling, and data visualization
  • Providing analytical assistance to the business
  • Coordinating special projects and initiatives with requesting departments by setting project timelines, identifying potential data sources, gathering needed data, and preparing appropriate analyses
  • Participating in key Company initiatives by serving as a team member or providing analytic support to the established team members
  • Evaluating revenue enhancement opportunities
  • Identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives
  • Assisting in departmental and overall benchmarking efforts
  • Helping coordinate and improve diagnostics around differences, utilizing and integrating findings with the business to identify opportunities and create a continuous feedback loop
  • Assisting in the preparation of executive-level presentations
